Didier Grare est un peintre charentais né le 1er aout 1970 á Périgueux, en Dordogne.
Dés l'âge de huit ans, son don pour le dessin se manifeste et attire l'attention de son entourage. Malgrè des études et un début de parcours professionnel hors du circuit de l'enseignement des Beaux-Arts, il s'engage dans cette voie. Le seuil autodidactique atteint, il complète son enseignement pictural chez des peintres reconnus - Théodora Constance Hamming, Jean-Claude Viroulaux.... - le dessin et la gravure chez un maître bordelais: Jean-Pierre Beyris. Puis vient le temps de l'apprentisage des techniques écrites dans des livres laissés par des peintres d'un autre temps. Il découvre les produits et leur alchimie, les pigments et leur résine, et valide cette pratique chez des restaurateurs d'art confirmés.

Didier Grare is a young, self-taught artist who was born the 1st August 1970 in Perigueux, Dordogne.
At the age of eight his gift for drawing manifested itself plainly and caught the attention of those around him.
Lacking the necessary academic disciplines at the outset of his professional career, he found himself outside of the fine art establishment to which he aspired. The path of self education was suspended. He now began his training in the studios of several well known painters - Theodora Constance Hamming, Jean-Claude Viroulaux.........together with receiving drawing and engraving tuition from the Bordolais master Jean-Pierre Beyris. He then began to study the academic techniques found within the literature left behind by the great artists of the past. He particularly discovered the secrets of the artists' alchemy..... the pigments, the oils and the resins..... and he practiced these skills within the workshops of established fine art restorers.
